8/10/2019 From August 11 to 16, Monforte celebrates its patron saint festivities, in honor of the Virgin of Monserrat. The Patron Saint Festivities of the city of Cabe have always been a reference in southern Lugo for the quality of the concerts, the stages in which the performances take place and the fact that all the shows are free. For six days the music, culture, magic, tradition, fireworks, ... and Monforte becomes the epicenter of leisure in the Ribeira Sacra.
As usual, the concerts will have two main stages, the esplanade of the Company, commanded by the monumental Colegio de los Escolapios and the Plaza de España, prelude to the old town.
The concerts of the Company will take place after 00.30, except for SR Aliaga on the 16th, which will take place at 2.30; This day will also feature the Panorama orchestra. The music proposals, with free admission, are designed to satisfy all audiences and styles, with nationally and internationally renowned artists. The Dvicio group will open the concerts on the day of the 12th. Carlos Baute will perform on the 13th, Chenoa will do it on the 14th, Blas Cantado on the 15th and the concerts will be closed on the 16th with the SR Aliaga group.
While in the Plaza de España, the concerts will be at 23.00 from 11 to 14. On Sunday the Garufa Blue Devils Big Band Orchestra will perform, on Monday Os Parentes, on Tuesday the Music Band of the Mestre Ibáñez Conservatory, on Wednesday the Band of Chantada Music. On Thursday, the Plaza de España will feature the Dance and Traditional Music Exhibition from 8.30 pm and on the 16th from 8.00 pm the Duelirium aerobatic air circus will take place.
The Festivities of this year will have as a preacher Lucía Pérez. The singer of O Incio made many of her first performances, when she was still a child, in the city of Cabe, becoming a very good friend of Monforte.

23:00 h CONCIERTO GARUFA BLUE DEVILS BIG BAND en la Plaza de España actuará la Orquesta-Big Band Garufa Blue Devils Big Band, con un repertorio de música de los grandes clásicos del swing sin perder de vista la música afrocubana de la época, del cine y el cabaré.

12:00 h ALBORADAS GRUPO DE GAITAS DEL AYUNTAMIENTO Salida de la Plaza de España para llevar música a las diferentes calles de la ciudad. A las 13.00 horas en la Plaza de España se juntarán con los cabezudos.
