08/06/2022 From August 10th to 16th, Monforte celebrates its Patron Saint Festivities, in honor of the Virgin of Monserrat. The Patron Saint Festivities of the city of Cabe have always been a benchmark in the south of Lugo due to the quality of the concerts, the stages on which the performances take place and the fact that all the shows are free. For six days, music, culture, magic, tradition, fireworks follow one another, ... and Monforte becomes the epicenter of leisure in the Ribeira Sacra.
As usual, the concerts will have two main stages, the esplanade of the Company, commanded by the monumental Colegio de los Escolapios and the Plaza de España, a prelude to the old town. This year's festivities will have as herald the former Monforte deputy and writer, Margarita Rodríguez Otero. The proclamation will be on the 10th from 20:30 in front of the town hall.
