08/8/2023 From August 11th to 16th, Monforte celebrates its Patron Saint Festivities, in honor of the Virgin of Monserrat. The Patron Saint Festivities of the city of Cabe have always been a benchmark in the south of Lugo due to the quality of the concerts, the stages in which the performances take place and the fact that all the shows are free. for six days monforte is filled with music, culture, magic, tradition, fireworks,... and Monforte becomes the epicenter of leisure in Ribeira Sacra.
As usual, the performances will have two main stages, the esplanade of the Company, commanded by the monumental College of the Escolapios and the Plaza de España, before the old town. This year's Fiestas will have as crier the judge and former president of the Provincial Court of Lugo, Edgar Closs Fernández. The proclamation will be on the 11th from 8:30 p.m. in front of the town hall.

Friday, August 11th:
8:30 p.m. PROCLAMATION OF THE PATRON SAINT FESTIVITIES. Reading of the proclamation by Edgar Closs Fernández.
9:00 p.m. LAUNCH OF THE ROCKET announcing the start of the Festivities. Campo de San Antonio.
9:00 p.m. INAUGURATION OF THE ARTISTIC LIGHTING
9:30 p.m. DANCE CONCERT BY THE BANDA DE ACORDEÓNS O FOLIÓN in the plaza de España.
