8/10/2019 On August 15th we celebrate the big day of the Patron Saint Festivities, the day of the Patron Saint, the Virgin of Montserrat. The authorities accompanied by the Band of Bagpipes and the Traditional Dance Group of the City of Monforte go from the Plaza de San Antonio to the church of San Vicente del Pino to celebrate religious Mass, sung by the municipal choir, and floral offering to the Patron saint of the city.
San Vicente del Pino, one of the emblems of the city, becomes today a protagonist and, in addition to focusing the official acts of the morning, at midnight it hosts the traditional fireworks. The night of the big day, Monforte is filled with light and party, which attracts many visitors every year willing to see the show that illuminates the Monastery of San Vicente and its Tower of Tribute.
And if the image of the night of the 15th is made to be recorded in memory, the same happens with that of the night of the 16th in which the water fireworks are celebrated. At 00.00 at night, the Cabe, next to the Old Bridge, hosts this event that brings together hundreds of people to enjoy the mixtures that the light makes with the water.
